A bird bath made just for local Australian birds will make your yard come alive. A well-designed bird bath can be a safe place for birds to bathe and a peaceful focal point for your outdoor space. It should have the right depth, textures that are safe for birds, materials that keep the water cool, and moving water if you want it.
We carefully choose the bird baths at Fountainland based on their performance, longevity, and design. This makes sure they do well in Australian weather and attract more birds. You may discover real garden bird baths, not simply decorations, such as a classic pedestal bird bath, a solar bird bath, or a birdbath fountain. A lot of our designs also look good with bigger outside water features, which makes the whole landscape look better.
A bird bath is not just a pretty thing. In Australia's hot and often dry climate, it is very important for keeping birds hydrated, their feathers clean, and their body temperature stable.
A good bird bath should: Keep the water level low (2–5 cm) and wash with a gentle slope so that little birds feel safe.
Sit in the shade to keep the water cool longer. Use bird-safe materials and finishes.
Reduce predation from above with clear lines of sight.
On a warm Australian morning, watching finches, wrens, or lorikeets bathe and flutter is one of the best things you can do in your garden. A well-placed bird bath can make even the most mundane outdoor times feel special. It can even bring the calm of an indoor water fountain outside.
Pedestal bird baths are a classic and useful choice. They raise the basin above the ground, which keeps birds safer from cats and lets you see them from all sides. Great for open lawns, natural gardens, and formal gardens.
Bird baths at ground level look like natural puddles and are popular with ground-feeding birds like doves and wagtails. Place near bushes for fast shelter, but make sure you can see clearly.
Great for small gardens, balconies, and courtyards. Hanging bird baths take up less area, and their soothing movement can keep predators away.
It doesn't take up much space, looks good, and is easy to care for. Wall-hung bird baths are a good idea if you'd like to encourage birds to come closer to the window without using up any floor space.
Moving water is the greatest enticer for birds to use a bird bath in Australia. Solar water pumps, drippers, and bubblers create fresh water that will make birdsfollow because birds respond to the gentle sounds that these make.
Bird bath fountains enhance the aesthetic appeal of your premises, besides ensuring that the water remains clean for a longer period. They do this by combining relaxing soundscapes with utility.

To attract different types of birds, use different forms of bird baths.
Birds are naturally careful. Bird baths that are soft, natural colours like stone grey, earthy green, and muted blue help them blend in with the yard and make birds feel secure.
Finishes that are very shiny or fluorescent may look fake and turn off smaller species. That's why the bird baths, outdoor fountains, and two-tier fountains at Fountainland all have finishes that look well in gardens and make birds feel safe.
Your garden becomes a place where birds naturally go back to when they hear the soft sound of running water. One reason why many people think our assortment has the greatest bird baths that Australian gardeners trust.
Make sure the water in the bird bath is shallow, clean, and chilly.
Don't put it right under feeders (droppings get dirty rapidly).
If you have cats around, lift it off the ground.
Put a second bird bath in a shady spot during the summer.
Add stones or textured interiors to help little birds stay safe.

No, all of the bird baths at Fountainland are separate from each other. They include a built-in reservoir and pump that sends water back into the tank, so you don't require an outside water supply. Just fill the basin with water and add more as needed to make up for evaporation.
Yes, you can operate the water pump all the time. But make sure the water level stays high enough so that the pump stays underwater. In hotter places, water evaporates faster, so you need to check the pump regularly to make sure it doesn't run empty, which could damage it.
Check your bird bath when it arrives. If you see any damage, email hello@fountainland.com within five days to let them know. Send pictures of the broken item and its packaging. They will work with their supplier to fix the problem quickly.
To keep visiting birds healthy, you need to do regular maintenance:
Being clean: To keep algae from growing and to get rid of dirt, clean the bird bath once a week with a cleanser that isn't harmful.
Change the water often to keep it from getting stale and producing mosquitoes.
Location: Put the bird bath in a shady spot to keep the water cooler and slow down the formation of algae.
Birds will feel comfortable and welcome in a well-kept area.
If your order hasn't shipped yet, you should call Fountainland right away to ask for a cancellation or change. You might have to send the item back after 30 days if it was shipped. For further information, please see their returns guide.
A lot of Fountainland's bird baths can work with solar pumps. The Lora 2-Tier Birdbath Fountain, for instance, has an optional solar pump conversion. If there isn't any direct sunshine, solar pumps may stop working. Think about getting a type with a battery backup so it can keep working.
